Take a stand against plastic!

Take a stand against plastic!

Take a stand against plastic!

This month is about seeing if you can live without using plastic. When I learned this, I was immediately overwhelmed!! I use so many things that are packaged in plastic, and I chew gum, which has plastic in it!! :/ But this article made me realize that I’m already doing at least 20 things on their list to avoid plastic, which is a pretty good start! The list is long, so please don’t get overwhelmed by THAT. Just read through a few points and see if you can commit to trying SOME of their ideas. It was super eye-opening for me and challenged me to think differently about the things I’m doing and buying. I hope you feel the same way! Carla Whyte Embracing Your Space

Is this the year you get organized?

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It’s the time of year where a lot of people make New Year’s resolutions, or goals, for the year. (Personally, I always have a hard time figuring out what my resolution should be, as well as sticking with it!)  If you’ve decided that getting organized is your resolution or goal, this first article will help you get started. The second article gives great advice about goal setting and achieving. Break goals into smaller chunks, call them “preferences” instead of “goals I should achieve”, and give yourself a break if you don’t achieve them.  Love that!! Carla Whyte Embracing Your Space

The impact of disorganization

The impact of disorganization

The impact of disorganization

October is Mental Health Month, and I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a refresher on how to stay clear-headed during these times! 🙂 We’re also heading into the holidays (what???), which can be super stressful, so now is the time to take stock of your mental state (how are you truly feeling?), and the state of your surroundings (is the clutter bringing you down?), and take action! Yes! You can do it! Just setting a timer for 30-60 min, and doing some decluttering every day is all it takes! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a clear mind so you can enjoy yourself, your family, and your home? 🙂
